After many years of recording and producing other artists, Paul Dobbe has decided to take that experience into producing his first EP, "Starter Kit". Also a"first" for Paul, was writing all the material for this release. Starting with "Back & Forth". This track came together quickly with the vocal master Elayne Terranova, and Paul's old friend from Vegas, Dennis Durante (bass guitar). Making it easy to jump to the 2nd song written, "My Heart Is Home With You". Again Elayne's vocal inspired Paul to finished and to start writing, recording the 3rd tune, "What U Mean 2 Me". Again Dennis helped Paul with Devin Bender's electrifying, electric ukulele. "So We May Understand" was recorded next. A "Paul Only" recording with Paul's signature vocal arrangement. Next came the sad lament "It's Over" which Paul felt that only Lainey Dionne could interpret, with Paul playing the piano. At this point of the recording, Paul and guitar wiz, Fred Mostly, working on "Once Again", thinking that this would be the last cut on the CD, but Paul wrote the whimsical "Yin & Yang", roped in UK guitarist Louis Calisse while playing all the other instruments. "Starter Kit" is Paul Dobbe's 1st musical adventure. Give it spin!!
